ahhh the pastorius *drools*
this is something that i've been curious about for a while as i've never played many fender basses (mostly squiers when it happens) but... what's that angled thing on the pickguard between the pickup and the neck? a bolt on finger rest? |

I just use the pick ups as thumb rests.

Yeah, that's where most of the lacquer has worn off of the body, is right above the pick up.. It's strange, though. Where my arm rests on the body, it's glossier than the rest of the body.
