If you want new, real high quality stuff the sky's the limit as far as price goes. You can easily spend thousands.

The best thing to do if you want to get stuff cheap is keep an eye on places like craigslist and be patient. You never know when you're going to stumble across someone who's moving or something and willing to sell gear really cheap just to get rid of it quicker.
