Yeah. Not the worst, but certainly the most overhyped.

Their Custom Shop is horrible these days. The old Gibsons were amazing but unfortunately they are hugely over-priced. I was fortunate enough to find a '63 MelodyMaker for $1000 which is not terrible, but it's a very simple guitar. I would never buy a new Gibson.

If you guys want a real Gibson, buy a Heritage. All the good Gibson builders work there.

Some guy at Sam Ash on Sunset was trying to get me to try out this Gibson LP (stupid camouflage paint job among other things). Some signature series thing from some guitar player I can't stand.

First thing I noticed...the high E string was completely off its pole piece.

I hope Gibson gets their act together again at some point.

The three I own are great, but I know a lemon when I see one.

gibson in the late years has been using cheap crap parts for their guitars and quality has gone down so much in recent times. i have a 50's model hollow body electric gibson, and it is great. today everything is ****.

I was saving money for a Gibson, but two weeks ago I bought a secondhand Epiphone Les Paul Standard, with Seymour Duncan humbuckers installed. This cost me only 300€, and the sound is pretty damn close to a Gibson, and it only costs one third of an original one.

Same story here, except with a custom, and slightly cheaper. I've been playing it for five years now and is definitely enough guitar for what I do. Unless I was making a living off of my guitar playing I don't think I would invest in a Gibson.
