Default Guitars made in Asia

Like anything else in the states, guitars mostly come from Asia. I own 2 made in Korea. Since a guitar is a somewhat delicately made and shaped instrument, how much damage can be done to one that was made in Asia and transported to the States?

One problem is the dampness and moisture of Asia. The wood is very damp, and will warp once it is in a dry place. I've heard of people taking their guitars to places like Utah and Nevada and the necks would warp immediately.
