Default Figured I'd share this around a little

A guy named Prince Of Darkness recently grabbed me to do some guest playing on a couple of his tracks, the second of those ended up gaining third place on a Dwelling of Duels Magfest month, which is quite some achievement considering those are always massive, high quality months.

He posted this over on another forum and it pretty much speaks for everything involved, so here:

It stands for 'Music And Gaming Festival'. I really went for the music, and I also performed a couple songs, which I will post once I get the video and audio from the guys that filmed it.

I did another Dwelling of Duels competition (the same competition where I made the MMX medley, the funky Sonic 3 song and the epic C&C Red Alert mix) for this month, and all the songs were played live. This month there was quite literally not one song (well, maybe 1) that sucked. 37 entries, and that's a lot for this competition.

All the voting happened live there too. In the end I got 3rd place. I was really surprised I got in top 10 at all because of how many great tracks there were.

Here's the track, entitled "A Coelo Usque Ad Centrum" which means "From Heaven to the Center of the Earth."

There were 3 people that played guitar on this track. Me, Feener, and that guy that you all hate, GuitarBizarre. Here's how the track breakdown occurred:

01:16-01:52 - Lead: GuitarBizarre

02:13-02:36 - Lead: PoD

02:45-03:40 - Lead: PoD
03:41-04:16 - Solo: Chris Feener
04:16-04:33 - Lead: PoD

05:13-05:35 - Lead: PoD
05:35-06:02 - Solo: PoD

06:23-06:44 - Solo: GuitarBizarre

06:47-07:14 - Lead: PoD

07:25-08:08 - Leads: PoD

08:38-09:07 - Lead: PoD
09:07-09:26 - Lead: GuitarBizarre
09:26-09:47 - Leads: PoD

Nope, the track was arranged and composed entirely by PoD. He took the actraiser tunes as a basis and them redid them entirely to give us what we have here. Anything labelled 'lead' was written by him too. He gave us some creative license to change them but he made sure we all knew what he wanted out of the track first. I pretty much just played the leads as he wrote them, and then wrote my own solo at 6:22 to round off my input to the song.

And which exact solo do you mean when you say you liked it best? Because personally I think feeners destroys mine, but mine is the middle solo...

Very cool! Reminded me of playing Ace Combat on PS2.

Great playing and tone - well recorded too.
