I would reccomend something a little less generic for a guitar like that. A set of the Dimarzio 36th anniversary PAF's would sound great in that, with great sparkle and note definition.
On the other hand, try A bluesbucker in the neck and perhaps a Norton or Air norton in the bridge. If you really want the generic rock tone, a 59' is a great choice, but in my opinion its always been a jack of all trades master of none. It has no 'specialness' to my ears. All these pickups are Dimarzio btw, except the 59, which is a seymour duncan. As for silver, you can order most dimarzio pickups with covers for a small upcharge, or you can simply use seperate covers.
