Best distortion/overdrive pedals?? (metal, punk, rock, single, fan)

Hey,

So I've been pretty happy with my New Zealand made G2D classic for a while now but I'm looking around for something with a bit more drive and sustain.

What would you guys recommend as the best distortion/overdrive pedal around?

Price isnt too much of an issue as I think good tone is worth the price..

I'm not into dirty sounding cheap pedals or too muffeled distortion...

I'm after something with lots of mids..lots of sustain and round sounding..

Any suggestions would be awesome!!!!
