Looking for a guitar player to record small song (very easy!!!)
Hey guys!
I need someone to record me small peace of music. It's nothing but a few rhythmic accords to be played on a guitar, electric guitar, ukulele or whatever... basically, i would like to have a karaoke version of this song: Code:
youtube.com/watch?v=aGnmuBOmL5I the melody is basically the same as "we didn't start the fire", only it's a short version. if anyone of you could do this for me and upload it somewhere i'd be soo grateful. i reckon that if you're already recording something on a guitar, you could maybe also give this a try Wink this is hoping that someone can do this for me, nick b. |

Do you have anyway of getting sheet music?
I might be able to do that for you, I just don't have the time to figure it out on my own. I'm good with sight reading... =D And you did know that this is the same tune as "We Didn't Start The Fire", right? |

Here are the chords for We Didn't Start the Fire, as it is the same tune, like aww sugar said:
--ughh can't post URLs. Just look up We Didn't Start the Fire on ultimate guitar. I'll record it tomorrow night if you want -- I can't tonight. I'll just be palm muting and strumming cleanly on an electric if that's cool with you? And I don't have a very good microphone, fyi. edit: my microphone is too crappy. Terriiblllee recording quality, I'm sorry.

Yeah give me a few. Once recorded my own version for a guitar battle thing from back in the day. Will post a couple links for (hopefully) a few quick & clean versions. Will follow the tempo from the Dave Tompkins database, 144.8 bpm, so if you want it at a different bpm let me know. Sometimes stretching does weird things to guitar.
Be back in a little while. |

Ready for your project
Howdy. I'm back...and here ya go.
A word of caution - hope ya have some resources to EQ them pre-mix or on the fly. Tried to play in a way that would give you a good loop or few to choose from. Guitar wasn't cooperating with holding tune too well. Didn't play with a metronome, just along with the Billy J version. Probably hit and miss...editing needed DOH. Apparently can't post links to me mp3s until 15 posts. Will PM you the links if this board'll let me. Or just go post some here and there. Do need to introduce myself and all that jazz. 1st try at it - distorted, a little fat, couldn't get the chorus chorded right, some variations on verse style toward the end, tuning off here and there mostly when I'm lost lol. 3rd try at it - electric clean with natural distort, subjective tempo & time, accuracy not quite all there Will try and get the overhead/static out of my acoustic take. It's pretty ugly right now, but the playing is good. Cheers. |
