Electronic Drums
Can anyone recommend a beginner electronic drum kit for my 11yr old son to learn on?
Or even some to avoid? Cheaper the better...:wavey: |
Uhh, there are really not much electronic drum kits under 1000 bucks, try a real drum kit, make sure your son can keep a beat, let him suffer til' he gets his beats down, then just get him a real drum kit. he'd probably be happier and have more fun, im 14, i did this as well, i suffered for months, 4 to be exact, and i used some virtual drum kits online, and i used my friends drum kits, and i learn to be good, or at least half descent before i got my own drum kit, so test him a little, and get him some drums, not some plastic pads, after he gets some skill down :) Thats all i did, and now me and my dad play together and we sound amazing. this is before christmas, and im posting after, so this might not come in handy.

I have a simmons sdk7 about 700.00 with everything. It seems pricey but if you think about it
#1 Its of decent quality so it will last a bit #2 You could mess with it to. #3 It will take a double bass pedal. That's a big thing these days #4 I enjoy it. #5 It has good reviews. Things you will need... Throne, bass pedal(s)... Oh yea there are 2500.00 dollar Roland sets but like you said beginner. |
its actually SD7K

Thanks for the response. The boy ended up opting for a Fender Mustang. Never enough drummers in the world....:(
