i prefer guitar...i have tried playing drums but i find it more difficult so I just stick with playing guitar...

I noticed some people sayin that its a hassle to carry a drum set, and also you cant serenade your friends around a campfire with one. my defense for drums over guitar.

1) chicks dig drummers more than other musicians
2) everyone HATES that douche bag that walks around with an acoustic guitar and plays music all the time.
3) who the F*CK serenades their friends around a camp fire? (unless they're lady friends, in which case its worth it to drag a drum set to the campfire, because you'll make the kid with the acoustic guitar cry.
4) drum solos are WAY cooler than drum solos.
5) you can practice drums anytime, anywhere if you have a pair of sticks, the same cant be said of guitar. unless you feel like luggin an acoustic everywhere.
6)chicks dig drummers more than other musicians.
7) playing the drums regularly builds muscle.
8) drums are awesome
9) drums are loud
10) drums are WAY more fun to play with.
11) and finally, chicks dig drummers more than other musicians.

I am a drummer and the douchebag lead singer always gets the hot girls...and he is hairy and has bad teeth...tell me where these girls are. Even Tommy Lee plays guitar, albeit badly, and that ugly ****er has hepatitus played drums and got hot girls. I guess the girls I do get have half a brain so that is a plus.

well of course there are exceptions to the rule, but I've found in my experiences, that women just tend to dig drummers more. women will crush on the lead singer, but they'll boink the drummer. haha yes, i did say boink. I'm sorry your experiences havent shown similar findings. and i dont mean that sarcastically, i got nothin but love and respect for my fellow drummers, because there are also downsides to being a drummer, and one is being the brunt of all the other musicians jokes. But that just inspires me to practice harder, and learn more theory.

I prefer quality to quantity anyway so its all good...I don't want hepatitus(sp?)...

Well being a girl I can tell you I have no preference what-so-ever in what instrument a potential beau plays. I wouldn't want to get up someone if they were hairy, had bad teeth, or hepatitus EVEN IF they were a lead singer or guitarist.
