just what sort of restoration are you hoping to accomplish? how in depth are you hoping to go? is it just a button or two that aren't working or are you looking to do a complete overhaul?
a friend of mine wanted to restore an old korg he scored of ebay a few years ago. even with schematics it proved to be WAY more of a hassle than he anticipated. and that's just with a single keyboard, you're looking at a double tray self amplified monster. i'd be hesitant on just opening the thing. have you tried contacting music stores / vintage instrument shops in your area? even if they can't help you directly they would be able to provide you with local leads if there are any. |
