Need some recomendations
I was wondering, could any of you suggest a good well rounded metal guitar? something preferably under 700 dollers.
I'm using a Ibanez RG2EX1... I just need a something that can play really any kind of metal...Black, Death, Heavy, Power...really anything :| PS: If you know of a good distortion pedal/amp go ahead and link it as well...I'm using the Digitech DEATH METAL distortion pedal :/ |

Buy Schecter Hellraiser 006 Electric Guitar online at Musician's Friend
Buy ESP LTD H-500 With EMG Pickups online at Musician's Friend Buy Schecter C-1 BlackJack ATX Electric Guitar online at Musician's Friend Any of those are excellent. Don't buy anything with a tremolo bridge. The only thing you'll get from a tremolo bridge at that pricepoint is headaches and setup issues. If you want to lock yourself into ONE sound and ONE sound only, buy something with EMG's. If you want something more versatile, buy something with passive pickups NOT active.

nothing says METAL like a bc rich guitar.
BC Rich Guitars the BOSS metalzone pedal also really lives up to its name. it's quite versatile and has a fair amount of tonal range. and being that it's a boss pedal you know it's solid. |

i'd say the model choice is totally up to you. for my personal preference i wouldn't get a BC Rich, i'm just not that keen on pointy guitars. but i've known more than a few metal heads who swear by them for every kind of metal they play.
musician's friend has tons of options for them too, with obvious levels of quality. although you might have to spend a little more than you're hoping for to get a good one once shipping and taxes are factored in. Musician's Friend - Search Results there's also a surprisingly affordable dean ML reissue (the real thing was good enough for dimebag darrel when he was starting out) Buy Dean '79 Series ML with Floyd online at Musician's Friend one thing you really need to keep in mind is that the guitar is really only a tool. your two hands are by FAR the most significant factors of your sound. there's usually no real way to offer a specific 100% correct answer to much of anything when it comes to playing an instrument. |
