I need help with digital drums
Hey, I'm getting my kid brother a Singing Machine Digital Drum - it's the kind with the pads that you hit and it makes sound and crap like that. Anyway, he's playing in a band with old milk cartons and stuff and he said he wanted a "real" drum set. I asked him if he wanted digital, he said sure.
Anyway, my question is: How loud do they get? He wants to know if it can even be heard while guitars and stuff are playing. Does anyone have one, and if so can you tell how loud they get? Thanks

Digital or electronic drums neeed an amplifier and a speaker in order to be audible, just like an electric guitar. So to answer your question How loud they play will largely depend on the size or power of the amplifier you use them with. Any cheap toy-like model with the amplification built in is not going to be loud enpugh for a band setting, and are not designed for serious/proffessional use.
