Default I can't decide on this two guitars

hi, im new
Anyway, I can't decide on which of theses 2 guitars to get a Fender Mustang or a Fender Stratacaster. The music i want to play in like Sonic Youth and other alternative music. Can somebody help me?

Get a fat strat (One with a humbucker in the bridge)

They're one of the most versatile guitars.

And the mustangs have a lot of design flaws that have been kept on the guitar for retro appeal. I know a guy with one and he had to do a whole bunch of mods to it to make it worth it. With strats the setups are comprehensive if you take the time, but at the same time it wont hurt anything if you leave it, for the most part.

personally I'd go with a '72 tele....but its quite expensive though

the guitarist in this video is using a '72 tele and there are some live parts in the video.....its just to give you an idea of what sounds you can get out of it.


Buy Fender Classic Series '72 Telecaster Deluxe Electric Guitar online
excatly $700 if you get the black or walnut finish

That has a nice sound, i've seen Lee Ranaldo of Sonic youth use one. BTW what band is that? They sound really good, and i'm always looking for new music.
