I want to learn an instrument
I love music but I don't know much about it. I played trombone for two years in middle school and did well (haha) but I'd like to take up a fun instrument. What's good? I assume you guys will say guitar.. My buddy has one so I could try it but I have tennis elbow in both arms so I'm not sure if it will work out. Anyway I figured both piano and guitar would teach me alot about music and guitar might be more fun, what do you guys think? (I don't think i'd do piana cuz my mom has piano but id prolly have to get electric one or w/e). I could DJ I guess but I just want to get into music, I hear its good for ur brain and it's fun so yeah...

so you cant play guitar and dont want to learn piano... drums or vocal lessons maybe? although drums would be worse for your elbows...
id definately start out with piano to get a background in music.. once you learn piano well enough you can pick up almost anything pretty easily. |
Don't give up on guitar...it's how you position it

Wow. I've lived in the perfect environment to learn an instrument and never chosen to. My mom has a piano and my dad has drums. I'll use my sister's book to learn piano and have my dad teach me drums if possible. My buddy has a guitar he doesn't use maybe I can get him to sell it to me and take lessons. I don't got much money but I think I can make this work. I guess you're never to old to learn music (I'm 20).

different instruments have different sounds experiment with a few and see whichj one u like the best
and dont worry just practice ALOT and ull catch up in no time =) |
I'd recommend learing to play the piano and guitar

I think starting with the piano then moving on to guitar would be best. But I want to echo what someone above said too - try a few out and see if any of them jump out at you in particular.

The mandolin might be a neat little instrument for you. I tried out my friend's dad's mando, and I learned A, Am, D, and G chords within 20 minutes. It's got a sweet sound too, and it's very small.

I would really just start with the piano. I started with the piano and now I play 4 instruments and i honestly i think i did so well because of my background in piano. if you need any sheet music...i can hook you up..hahaha

How bout bass much easier than guitar. And after awhile you will be able to make easy transition to the guitar.
