Suggestions
ok so, lately i have been wanting to get a acoustic guitar. I am not really a music playing person other than the 4 years i played trombone in grade school, but i am determined to learn. So basically what i am asking is what is a good guitar to pick up. Price is not really a factor, so suggest away. Thank you in advance for any help.

I'd recommend you go to a music store and try out acoustic guitars that they have and find one that sounds good and has good action.......or get a friend to go with you that knows guitars.

if you plan on going through with it enough to be playing any gigs with it id go with one that you can plug an amp into... its personally a pain in the ass to play with a mic 4 inches from your guitar

buy one with a pick up built in , sounds better

I have no interest in playing gigs and what not just for playiong around the fire, and these kind of things.

anyways i definately would go into the store... you dont really have to know guitars all that well just strum it open and see how she sounds.. this is rather hard to explain but you can tell which one you like by how "pretty" it sounds... if it sounds like a piece of **** dont get it. oh and check for a neck bow. you want the strings to be very close to fret board. i borrowed one from a friend that had like a half inch neck bow and it was dreadful. I'd personally start out with the yamahas and ask the store owner about the guitar too. |

I have a Washburn D10.
Good acoustic guitar with a nice tone. Inexpensive too. I checked the price and you should be able to pick one up for less than $300. |
The action on my washburn is horrible.....
