It depends on what kind of music your into. Because really, any instrument can be beautiful depending on who is listening. For a beginner, I would reconmend the piano because that is the easiest instument to learn. If piano is not your thing, guitar would be good. Another easy one would probably be the saxophone (alto perferably). These are just a few suggestion.
Oh and a big tip: dont start with a violin or anything similar. Sure, they make very beautiful music, I admit that but it will take forever to actually get a good sound out of them. That why most players start off at a early age (5-6 years latest)
