Default What amps do you guys own?

I started off with some sh*t 10 watt Ashton, but now that I've upgraded I've gone to the Marshall MG100DFX, one of the nicest clean sounds I've ever heard, and the overdrive and effects are bad either.

I was looking at that exact amp when I was first considering buying an electric. It's only 30 watts isn't it? I tihnk that's what drove me away from it.

I'm a bass player. in a Rock band

Trace Eliott 450 watt head with 7-band graphic ( a REAL one, not one of the new Peavey built trash), Hartke Transporter 4X10 cab, Trace Eliott 1X15 cab.
Great sound, loads of power, ( The band say too much sometimes!), and massive clean sound with loads of bottom end and gusset-ripping highs.

After months of searching and trying dozens of different "toys" I found the ZOOM bass multi-FX pedal, and I also use a Behringer pre amp / boost - handy for some extra grunt and only £20.

Been recently thinking of getting a nice 18" cab and a power amp to drive it, as we're playing some large venues, though I may just get another, identical cab set up and a power amp to drive them.

I always say "If it's too loud, you're too old!" - By the way I'm 51!

I use a Vox Valvetronix AD50VT - a modeller trying hard to sound valvey!

They are pretty good, plenty of variety (11 models) and effects built in, they do sound fantastic at low `bedroom hero` volumes. And the few occasions i`ve jammed loud with it have been pretty good too. I use the model that trys to imitate a Fender Twin a lot!

Forum won`t let me post a pic - i dont have 15 posts yet!!!
