Bass amp???
I have an Ibanez 10 watt amp that really isn't that loud...I got a job recently so I have some extra money so I was wondering would it make a difference if I got a 15 watt amp just so its a little bit louder..
What wattage amp should I get if I just practice in my room? What brand amp should I get/What do you recommend? EDIT: Sorry just noticed this is in the wrong section. |
BUMP (Sorry if its not allowed...I'm new..)

Thats what my friend has, It seems to be loud enough but I might just go with 25 watts... |
If you really want a good, solid bass practice amp, go with one of these:

Thanks man, I will consider those but I am looking more in the $150-Down range. I am thinking like 20 or 25 watts. |
A 100 watt amp will give you enough power and sound for most any gig you will play. Ampeg, and Fender makes good amps. Ashdown is top of the line. I have a old Peavy Mark IV series head that can push 210 watts at 4ohms and 300 watts at 2 ohms. It should be around 115- 120 at 8 ohms. It all depends on your finances I guess.
This may be an option. The most bang for your buck. 120 watts for $149 and free shipping. Buy Behringer BX1200 Ultrabass 120W 1x12 Combo online at Musician's Friend |

Me and my friend were talking about Behringer and I don't think they would be that great because they are so lo priced. I am thinking about that Marshall right now. |
