Default List cheap not hard to learn instruments

I plan and using an array of weird but not hard to master instruments for my new project. So far i'm going to throw in bass/guitar and multi-track those and probably going to incorporate some screaming and maybe some drums. It'll be primarily acoustic or mellow.

List so far
- Harmonica
- Triangle
- Kazoo

I've got a kazoo, they're good fun. You can always use those egg shaker things to keep time for the drums... Uhh. Ukelele(sp?) could be fun. That's about all I can think of, but you can always use a fair bit of percussion.

Most things that are hard and hollow or wooden (or both) can be used as percussion instruments. Any kind of bin, deoderant can, glasses case, door, banister, table etc. can have decent acoustic properties so try it out.

Although they're not acoustic, you can get really cheap keyboards which are fine for playing tacky melodies on and can also give you some really lo-fi drum beats. I recommend the 'bossa-nova' button.

Xylophones/glocks/marimbas are all more expensive aren't they?

Oh! You can fill up bottles to different heights and then blow in them or tap them to make different pitches.

I'll think of some more later.
