As I mentioned, my favourite guitar so far is my Godin Solidac which as it happens, also is roughly Les Paul shaped. Main difference is, it can sound like a Strat, a Tele, a Les Paul and even better, all these sounds can be mixed in with the very convincing acoustic sound which means it can start to sound like a semi-acoustic as well. being that i'm fairly close to Quebec i've heard tons about Godin guitars but i've never actually sat down with one, don't think i've ever heard a single person say a bad thing about them though. seems like a typical Canadian thing too, don't really appreciate something local until outsiders start praising it. |
