Gibson!
Then Ibanez second.

I'm quite partial to Fenders... only because I'm so used to 25.5" scale guitars and single coils.

My current favorite is Taylor, I have a Hawaiian Koa Wood Limited Edition w/ custom inlay. I've had a few Taylor guitars, and I've not found anything that compares to the intonation, quality, durability, or stylish look. I've also owned and played for 2 years a Larivee - great, great guitar, but didn't hold up to well. I had to recently replace it.

i like gibson guitars mostly for the les paul and the explorer.

however, i had a kramer one time with an aluminum neck that was really cool.
i'd love to have another one of those. and i always wanted to try a carvin just to see what they are like.

i would love to try a steinberg stick. i think they look cool.

i should have originally posted hondo guitars, for a joke.

I dont have a favourite guitar "brand" but instead I have favourite guitars.
I suppose if it came down to it I would choose Fender over Gibson.

Sears!

Farfisa 03-25-2010 04:02 PM

Haha, partial to Danelectros are we?

Ibanez by far. But if you want to get a good tone without forking over a couple of thousand dollars, it's best if you go Epiphone, they are not as bad as people say they are.

those old Sears Silvertones from the 60s are ACE if you can find one in good condition. usually not as pricey as other gear from that decade too.
