just wanted to put a shout out on here for my buddy Aidan Keeley. i think he's living in toronto now. i played some funk with him back in the day and he's a super nice guy and a groovy player. he's just opened a facebook page and he's a got a couple funky little ditties for everyone to check out. enjoy.

personally i love a good rickenbacker. but im ok with my old silverstone i think is the brand. it was given to me free. it needs a lil cosmetic work done . im still new to music theory in general . but im getting the hang of it though

I think the way our hands are designed affects what instrument would suit us best. With guitar and bass I play both but I have long strong fingers but that are not naturally flat when barring a chord on a guitar, so it takes me more effort to push down harder to bar a chord, as for bass guitar I find it more natural to play finger style, tapping, and slapping.
Also bass players with a 'hitch hikers' thumb are better at double thumbing because they can get more 'purchase' on the upward thumb pluck. Food for thought! |
