You know, I remember seeing an ad for a semi-fretless bass in a luthiery magazine, but I can't remember what the hell they're called. They have frets up to the 12th, but after that, its fretless. They're fuckin' pricey, too. And I think they might have outfitted with Kahler bass tremolos. Any clue what I'm talkin' about?

Can't say I wouldn't like to have one in my arsenal.

it's all good, just like those thumb model Warwicks, you won't have to worry about my hands making grabs for those pieces of gear hehehe (although i wouldn't mind getting my hands on an electric upright Warwick hehe)

Yeah, there's actually a Dean upright at the music store down the street. The action is like nothing. You barely have to press, and of course with the fretless slides, I have all kinds of fun with that. If times were still good money-wise, I would have had that thing a year ago.
What about a Warr guitar? Would you fuck around with that?

nah, not a big fan of the tapping things, whether it's a warr guitar or a chapman stick. they sound really cool and all, just not really appealing to me from a playing perspective.
i'm kind of a perpetual dichotomy, i like gear that looks traditional on first glance but opens up unconventional possibilities upon closer inspection. |

Yeah, I've got an Epiphone Les Paul model bass, and it sounds ****in' great. Heavy as hell, though. But I like tapping and stuff. It's a nice trick to pull out from time to time.

favourite bass? my dad left me his 76 jazz bass when he passed on... I grew up in awe of it... I remember when I was 5 watching him play in church, feeling the rumble and the air it pushed from his terd peavy 2x15 cab... i'm also quite happy with my ibanez artcore
style? I play pop punk ska... i'm also into indy but I suck at playing it, everyone says i over play... so boring... favourite bassist? my main stream influences... i'll be honest as much 'cred' as it'll lose me, i'm a big fan of Gene Simmons... Eric Wilson, Matt Freeman, Fat Mike |

Wow. I'm not gonna dog on ya, but I've never even seen Gene Simmons being recognized for his bass playing abilities. Fat Mike is a hell of a player, though... for a picker.
