if the singer cant sing ittl just make the rest of the band look bad right along with it

Congratulations... the same can be said for any instrument.

And for those of you who have the odd idea that a guitar is necessary to make good music, you should listen to The Misfits' earliest output... they used an organ instead of a guitar. Personally, those tracks constitute my favorite Misfits songs. And of course there are tons of bands (even in Rock) that don't use a guitar, and they're great.

I dont think you CAN be missing any of them. I would say the Bass and the Drums are the most important but then again, you do need a singer.

I would say you haven't listened to a lot of music if you think vocals, bass, guitar, keyboard, and drums are all necessary to making music.

Ear drums.

I think this is the wackiest poll ever! They all have their own qualities and are integral to most bands. Of course there are exceptions but I really cannot vote in this one. The most important instrument is the one in your jockeys?.....

Well I think that bass is the most basic instrument but it would be lame without anything else...

It just depends on the genre. You can't really have a standard rock n roll band without a drummer, guitarist and bassist. But then again try and be a drummer in a Bluegrass band or a bass player in a Raga ensemble. You would feel very out of place.

You can make a good band of just about any kind of ensemble as long as you've got the skillz.

Yeah... but who just listens to "standard rock n' roll?" I would lose it.

Hipnami 07-04-2007 12:22 PM

it really depend what kind of band u are making

If u in church band the piano defe
if u are in a rock bang then guitar

but in genral I think the drums are the ones
with out then there is no tempo
