Dominant for my viola, they are superior by far. I'm using a Pirastro Tonica right now for my A string, and it's almost painful to listen to.

I just put a set of Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky on my Iceman. Good god they're brutal. Heavy as hell but they sound really full and solid.

What gauge do you usually buy?

I used to be a huge fan of 12's, but then I realized I wasn't S.R.V. so I stepped it down to tens, now I use Slinky Top Heavy Bottoms (top three are from a set of tens, bottom from a set of elevens) and those Beefy Slinky's on my backup (it's an 11-52 set, whereas normal 11's would go 11-48).

i think the lightest i've ever played were the 11's you're talking about. the ones with the wound G's?

right now i have 12-54's and i hate them. their much too loose and leinient. i usually play with 13-56's, because i can't stand light strings.

It's not the kind of music, in fact I'm usually finger picking when I play.
I just play with extra heavys because my father used them on his guitars and that's what i learned with.

and no, it's a regular danelectro from 93'.
i do have a baritone though
