I play guitar, keys, and mandolin. I really like fender's strat and tele. The way Gilmour uses the tele in his Dogs solos is amazing. Of course, a lot of Gilmour's tone comes from his fingers, not his gear.

I also play classical guitar, for which I prefer a rosewood body for its resonating properties. It's best if the guitar body resonates at 440 Hz so that songs in Am have full sound. You can also sing into the sound hole to make it resonate which sounds cool.

I don't really know much about keyboard gear, I've always just used what's available (and often been disappointed in the cheap sounds of electric equipment). I've only ever owned one mandolin and it's a fender.
