Its not just the tube sound. Its mainly the dynamics of your playing. Thats primarily what ss try and encapsulate. Also the clipping of natural distortion. Their is really nothing else a good amp can do than have a good clean and dirty channel.

And a peddle will NEVER sound as good as the sound breaking up on its own. Maybe in 100 years I will be proven wrong, but I figure everyone will be playing laptops by that point.
