Speaking of cheap, I use what is now a rare guitar but at the time was the dirtiest of the dirty cheap recording guitar called an iAxe 393 from Behringer. This baby was super revolutionary for its time, featuring a USB port next to the aux jack, so I can plug it straight into my computer and record.

These days that's done with special cables or the traditional way with interfaces, but this thing actually works great. Very low latency for a USB powered recording tool. Plays more or less like a standard, cheap-end strat.

I usually sequence my Volca Kick via my Beatstep Pro, but I've been using the BSP as a master clock instead lately. The automated sequences on the Volcas are actually pretty nifty. It sounds really gnarly when you put it through some dirty, sustained distortion (favorite pedal for it is the bass fuzz from Devi Ever).

What does “sequence” mean w the beatstep pro? I’m really novice still at knowing wtf I’m doing with all my gear haha :/

But yes!! I’ve been putting my kick thru a russian big muff for some dirty tones

My favorite musical instrument is my piano. I find it to be a very elegant instrument that not only requires a lot of skill to play, which I appreciate, but also requires a certain delicacy.

^Looks like a decent set to bang on.

My guitar corner will be getting relocated to make way for a fish tank:

It was originally supposed to be something temporary but it's lasted 5 years.
