Just ordered a Wilkinson Compensated 3 Brass Saddle bridge for my baby, stoked.
Chula do you have a Wilkinson or is it another brand?

EDIT: Scratch that, found out the hole pattern doesn't match American Standard Teles, gotta track down a Callaham Compensated bridge.

Wilky all the way.

Peavey VK 412 Straight cab.
Blackstar HT-5R Head

A few weeks ago I got a killer deal on a Peavey VK212 100w tube amp, and while it sounds absolutely amazing, it is way too loud for bedroom use. I really wanted to keep using a tube amp because their tone is just so much better than a solid state but I needed something I could actually hear and use in the bedroom. The cabinet I scored from a pawnshop for $70 because it was missing the logo and they didn't know what it was. Generally these things retail for around $200 used and $350 new, so I got a pretty smoking deal.

Those Blackstar's sound amazing. Designed by two dudes who worked for years at Marshall.

I've tried out quite a few different Blackstar models and I have been quite impressed with everything I've seen. I was looking really hard at the combo amp version but I've been experiencing a bit of tube rattle with my VK212 which has me a little weary of combo tube amps now. It's not as noticeable on a dirty channel, but certain notes on my clean channel buzz quite a bit. I've had a look at them and noticed that one tube was a little crooked so I moved it back into position which has largely damped the rattle, but it still comes through a little bit.

Plus not a fan of having the tubes hanging upside down. They definitely burn hotter in a combo since there's really very little convection cooling like with a head.

That's one of the things I really like about the Swart. It's a combo but the tubes face in the right direction.

Love that Swart.

I brought my recently acquired '85 MESA Mark III to a jam party on the weekend, had to take a wheel off to fit it in the trunk, forgot to put it back on when I was unloading, amp tipped over (hardcase on and all), master volume knob was sticking out a bit further than the other knobs (because it was replaced with a larger knob in the past), absolutely shattered the pot, took the board out of the cab to investigate and the rod had literally slammed through the base of the potentiometer, spilling its guts all over the inside of the controls. Its at the amp doctor getting inspected and fitted with a new pot right now, sucks, was really looking forward to showing it off that night. Ended up getting to play through a buddy's Hughes $ Kettner stack instead, which wasn't so bad.

Those Swarts are great. Thinking about getting one for live gigging. Need something small since we usually just play acoustic gigs at all the breweries. Also considering a fender Princeton or something like that.

I was thinking about getting one of these because my tele just uses the standard brass saddles, but It's my beater guitar. My jaguar has so many dings and scuffs already, and it's not even been with me for 2 years yet. It's a 3000 dollar guitar, and it's been beaten, scraped, and abused so much already. should I feel bad for treating my expensive guitars rough? Sure, the value has probably dropped drastically now, but I love the little imperfections and parts where the finish has been chipped away.

Haven't purchased yet, but definitely in my wishlist.

Guitar - Ibanez GRG
Amp - Lin 6 Spider IV 30 Watts

Will cost $200 each, but it'll definitely motivate me to start playing. I'm dropping the idea of starting small from previous experiences.
Skateboard. $40 Sports Authority Board -> $120 Complete board.
Microphone. $15 Insignia boom mic -> $130 Blue Yeti
Webcam. $10 potato -> $80 Logitech C920.

Better balance, speed, and I'm on cusp of learning tricks.
The microphone is soo good, I can't even sound bad if I tried.
As for the camera, I can actually see myself in it!
