I'm pretty happy with how it stays in tune and the overall intonation. Was worried since it is on the cheaper end of Mandolins I looked at but it will do the job just fine.
That's too bad Frownland. I do everything I can to encourage my kids to play music but they are not all that interested. |
It could be because I find it blasphemous for my amp to sit at anything below 11.

If you were my kid Frowny, we'd be jammin every chance I had.
Not to change the subject, but I was just looking for electric Ukes and came across this: Gretsch Guitars G9126-A.C.E. Guitar Acoustic-Electric Ukulele with Gig Bag | GuitarCenter I think I might pull the trigger. A late Xmas gift to me, actually it'll have to be VERY late since I have quite a few bills to pay first. Oh ponder. |

I'm lucky that way -- my mom teaches music, and I've literally been playing the piano since before I could walk. My parents have always encouraged me in that direction. Dad even payed half of my amp's price.

Picked up a 16 inch trash crash cymbal and a 10 inch splash cymbal today with my Christmas money. I was too cheap to buy any stands, so I working on MacGyvering at least one (I'm likely to use the splash as an addition to my snare like Chris Corsano or Paal Nilseen-Love does). Played on them for a couple hours already, very pleased with them.
