![]() ![]() I have just received my new treble recorder, a Moeck Denner, 442 Hz. The sounds is amazing, I can't wait until the wood became accustomed to the warmth. Maybe I'll be able to play 30 minutes within 1 month if it all works out. |

I used to have (Before it got destroyed) a Pearl Maple Drum-set, Dark Purple, Single Kick. 2 Snares (I added a Yamaha Piccolo Snare to it fore a more snappy sound in some of our Pop - ier songs.) Skins were a Tama 2-Ply for the snares and kick, and Tama single Ply for the Toms. My cymbols were Sonar Stage ready with an added Zildjian AA 14 inch Crash.

I've had a Charvel/Jackson since about 1993 (I was overjoyed when I got to know G. Govan was keen on Charvel!). My brother made me a supreme 7-string guitar about 2 years ago, which had been my dream for a long, long while: I can't whinge at all: both of them are top-notch instruments. Not a lot of pedals in my life, though: Boss CE-5 (Chorus), Boss Digital Delay (DD-3) and the glorious -and orange- DS-1. Now I can't make up my mind, but I've been thinking of a HR-2 or PS-6 (Boss). Of course there's a CryBaby Wah in my life as well. Amplification is through a Marshall Valvestate 8100: not really elated at it.

Is that a banjolin? Those are a lot of fun to play. My friend had an antique one from the 1920s and it worked fantastically as a slide (action was ridiculously high so that was the only option bar playing open strings or very high up frets) and percussive instrument. Also, I've never had a bad Gretsch experience, so I'm sure that yours will be just as great!

It's a banjo-ukulele, although I would like to get a banjolin at some point.
I've become a very big Gretsch fan this year, my banjo is a Gretsch Broadcaster and my mandolin is a Gretsch New Yorker, all of which sound pretty good and were very reasonably priced. |

Haha of course it's a uke, I forgot about the string difference because my friend has a mandocaster with 4 strings. One Gretsch product I must own in my lifetime is their dobro. I've played around 6 different dobros but the two Gretsch models I've played really took the cake and had such a great sound that was unique from the rest.

So a couple of weeks ago I purchased an alto flute. I finally got it yesterday and there are mechanical problems with it. Honestly I think flute makers are getting shoddier with their craftsmanship. I think the way to go next time is completely 100% custom made, but that can cost as much as a high end luxury car. I'm f*cking pissed
