If the solos are fast dont try and play them at THAT speed.
Play them very slow and accurate and gradually speed up.
I can't think of many rock/metal riffs that are easy its not my area of expertise.
Crazy Train/Iron Man/Smoke On The Water/Dead Leaves and The Dirty Ground?
I suggest starting with the ramones,nirvana and such first, even if you don't like it it's simple and good to start with it and simple enough.
