Drum Microphones
We are a small band, and we wand to be able to record with one of the personal recording studios. We don't know how the drum microphones work. Do you put the mic inside the drum itself? if so, how do you mount it inside? We just want to understand how everything works.

drum mics get mounted on the heads of drums, usually on the top head... sometimes on the bottom head of the drum... then you have your standard overhead mics... snare mic... hit hat mic etc.

if you dont know how to put a mic on a drum, chances are you dont know the first thing about recording/mixing/mastering etc... dont be stupid, get it done professionally or at least semi professionally.
