Making my own bass
 

I need help, i dont know much about how the inside of my bass works lmao. I wana make a bass with low end, to get that awesome metal sound, so like I need tips or advice or something lmao! Cheers

O.k., (hopefully I will make some sense) Get a basswood body or alder or if price doesn't matter get a mahogony body. I suggest going to www.warmoth.com or at least I think that is the name. Just go to the website that has the turtle adds in Guitar World mags. but you want a renforced neck because those will last longer and not warp... uhh... Ask around for pick ups and electronic options. Thats my input

I am thinking of makeing my nexy electric guitar with a warmoth body, originally i was thinkng emgs but now i am leaning more twoard dimarzio distortion and super 2 puckups.

What do you mean what everything is, what does that mean. I was thinking of getting one of there v-2(randy rhoads) ones off of there showcase with the bevels on the edge like the jackson ones. I have such a bad ass idea with how i will finish, it will look bad ass when i fanally get the$, i'm gonna get a job when i turn 16.:(

They make it a bitch to order anything and then you have to order a neck that will fit the slotty thing and gah. If you want to go though with it you will be satisfied with what you get because they own.

Well it will be a few moths untill i get enought money. And i don't think free money from christmas will be enought so anyway i'll hve to wait till june, wow thats 7 moths untill i am 16, hopfully i can get a job befor i become 15 but that hardly ever happenes damn.:banghead: :banghead:

If you are building a bass, make sure you get active pickups, no matter what brand they are. It will give you alot better sound. Just out of curiosity, why build your own instead of just buying one (since you are just buying all the pieces anyway)?
