Rickenbackers have a really distinctive, clanky sound, which suits some people very well (e.g. Lemmy or Paul McCartney), while Ibanez basses generally sound more hi-fi. So there is the whole apples and oranges thing going here, I would suggest that you do some research on both basses and decide what kind of tone you want to be defined as "yours". But of course there are many factors that affect a player's tone, not just the bass alone, but you can get a fairly good idea.
There is also the HUGE difference in price, Rickenbacker's should set you back at least double what an Ibanez would...
