Edifier R1700BT

Hi, today I recieved the R1700BTs as they were in a discount. I disconnected them while they were on, I think they weren't playing at the time. I can hear a bzz or a hiss noise when I put my ear near the speaker is it related? If that changes anything it's not present on most sounds, wouldn't that be the case if it was a hardware failure?

On another note I'm thinking of pairing them with the focusrite scarlett solo dac. I know they are low end but will I notice a difference?
