Mixdown with whispery vocals
 

I have a tascam model 24 that I am using as the main piece of my home recording setup. (I wanted to try to get away from the daw life).

Ive been finding that my mixes sound pretty quiet. I am pretty soft spoken so my vocals are already whispery. I want to get as much out of my whispery vocals as possible. Is there any tricks or tips in this regard? Much appreciated. :beer:
