Silvertone 1484 Question
 

So I picked up an old Silvertone 1484 a while back, but it ended up in storage because I just wasn't happy with the sound.

Even dimed out, the thing just will NOT break up. I even put a boost in front of it, and cannot get the thing to break up like I've heard them do. Even though I figured it was a long shot, I went ahead and changed the tunes but that didn't help. Just not sure what the deal is.

I bought it specifically for that sound, but not sure what's going on with it. Any ideas?
