Default What are some of the best amps under $50?

I have some decent headphones. Two pairs in the 150 - 200 range and do not own an app. Looking to change that. Does the amp matter change depending on the headphone model I have. I have one open and one closed back.

Sorry for dumb question, just never purchased an amp before.

I had a dedicated headphone amp for a while. One of these:

That's no help to you, I know. I'm just showing off. Sorry.

An amp with a headphone jack for under $50? I suggest eBay.

If you listen to a lot of music through expensive cans then a dedicated headphone amp is a worthwhile investment. They sound quite different to music played through a regular amp (through headphones) as they're specially 'tuned' for headphones.

I do love quality in my music, but I never thought to take it to that level. Makes sense.
