One good reason to pick up one thing at a time is to give yourself an opportunity to learn how to use it well.

Specs you can get on any dealer site or the manufacturer's site.

Figure out exactly what you want to do first--are you going to be trying to write and play/program your own stuff? Record other musicians? Then start with whatever the minimum is to do it, and only add stuff as you learn to well use the gear you've acquired so far.
