Cubase 7.5 problem, exporting to WMA crashes, something to do with VST bridge
Hello everbody!
So, in Cubase 7.5.40 (and an earlier update also) always when I try to export a mixdown to a WMA file it gives an error message and the export crashes, yet Cubase doesn't crash. I contacted Steinberg support and the first reply after a long wait was: "By analysing the Crash Dumps file, which was sent by you, Cubase Artist 7.5's crash dump is caused by WMA Audio Handler.dll extension. Please you ought to up to date your Audacity plug-in or uninstall it from your computer." I don't even know what this Audacity is. I am not using anything in my projects that didn't come with Cubase to begin with (effects, instruments). So I asked for more information, and the reply was, after a long wait: "By analysing you Crash Dumps file again, there is a typical random access memory error, which is caused because you were using a 32 bit plug-in into Cubase Artist 7.5.40 through VST Bridge. As I told you in my previous e-mail the extension is called the WMAAudioHandler.dll Please if you want to you can send me you Cubase Artist 7.5.40 project file." I have sent two cpr.:s as it happens on all my projects I have tested so far. It's been two weeks now, and by this rate, getting always just a short reply, it will take forever to fix this. So, does anybody have an idea how to fix this? By the way, I can make mixdowns to wav. files. Cheers! |
