Amp Suggestions
I'm in the market for a tube amplifier that is good for a gritty garage rock sound, but also has a nice clean tone. Think Cage the Elephant, White Stripes, King of Leon on their faster tacks, Wolfmother, Franz Ferdinand, The Black Belles, Be Your Own Pet, stuff like that. The cheaper the better of course, but not to the point of majorly compromising tone quality. I own both a Les Paul Studio and an American Standard Stratocaster, if that helps. I've been shopping around online and my head is spinning. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Go to your local music store, play with a few amps, find the sound and models that you like and than head over to one of the many tube amp forums or HeadFI, AK, and mention what you like. There are many many cheap ways to achieve what you want as in But an older fender etc and rewire, change tubes, change out a few caps and achieve the sound you want (not to mention have something no one else does)
