Default Upgrade from St55

So i just recently Broke my Sterling st55 microphone, and I've been look through mic's and need to keep it under 300 or not much over and right now my choice is probobly the rode NT1-A and I'm wondering if that's a bad decision or if there's another/better mic out there for lesser or equal value, or something that doesn't brake 300 by too much.
