Karaoke distortion on amp
I have a problem with a karaoke setup I am trying. I have a computer with a karaoke program on it. It displays the lyrics and plays the music. I have two mics hooked up to a mixing board and out to a guitar amp. The mics work fine until I add the computer audio out to the mixer board. They I get total distortion.
ANy ideas on how to fix this? |

Sounds a bit like you're having feedback.
If you're using windows, click the speaker in the systray (lower right corner) and finde a slider that's called 'line in volume'. Turn it down, that should do the trick. Can't find the slider? Go to options, then properties and tick the box that says something like line in

Not feed back
I have lowered the volume to very low. The buzzing distortion is only when the computer line out is connected. I can use it with head phones off the mix board but not out to the AMP. The mics work fine with the amp.

have you tried muting it?
Eitherway, you're asking a technical question on a forum that's really about music in the first place, altough I hope you'll get help, this might not be the right place .
