Picked up Planted Waves's GTR3 software bundle and was messing around with it today using some clean electric guitar loops. Pretty freaking incredible sounding and very, very versatile. Here's what you get:
25 guitar amps (modeled after Paul Reed Smith's personal collection) 7 bass amps 26 effects 30 speaker cabs 30 microphone options tuner You can use either one or two amps at once: https://dt7v1i9vyp3mf.cloudfront.net...GevmswcNUq.jpg And then up to 5 stomps in any configuration and with numerous patching options: http://cdn.mos.musicradar.com/images...rev-630-80.jpg PRS was hands on throughout the process. |
I'd consider it if I didn't have Guitar Rig from NI already and all guitars made by Orange Tree Samples :p:
Waves really seem to have been on a discount binge this summer, though. I feel like I get an email from them every other day. Most VSTi developers have summer sales going on now, which is interesting. I just picked up a solo flute from 8dio earlier today. |

Studio One all the way, best software imo

Im using Cubase 10.5 Artist and love it, very stable , loads of plugs and instruments.
Or if youre trying to keep a budget try the Sony Acid Express , i used it years ago , it came in a bundle and tried it , was surprisingly easy to use , intuitive , great for sketch pad stuff if you wanna get ideas down quickly. Lots of beats and sounds in there , great for 8 bit dinky electronica ( which i love ) |
