What kind of headphones do you wear?
Didnt see anything on this... so.
I wear some white able planets, their really nice. Eventually i plan on investing in some sennheisers Dont know if i can post links yet, if not ill get on my other account.. yup |
I have some cheap purple JVC earbuds for when I use my ipod and just got a pair of Shure SRH240s for Christmas.
|
Sennheiser PXC 150's. The sound cancelling device may well be what kills me in the end, i am fairly oblivious to everything with it on!

Sennheiser HD650 Audiophile Open Dynamic Stereo Headphone  Found a pretty great deal on them about a year ago. Love them more than words can explain. I also use a Bose pair when I'm out. These ones: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA250_.jpg |
JVC ones, I used to use iPod ones.
They kept breaking, I've had about 4 of the bastards. I decided enough was enough and went for JVC ones, they're good. |
While I'm at my desktop I use my Skullcandy Hesh and when I'm out a pair of Bose earbuds I got for Christmas that are quite easily the best earbuds I've ever had in my life.

And to the person that said they use Bose buds, i use those for when i run and stuff, i think were talking about the same ones, the buds go like deep in your ear right? And they have a clip |
I need some new ones, I break nearly every pair I own, I think I listen to music too loudly
|
I mostly use Sennheiser. At the moment i use:
Sennheiser HD 201 http://regmedia.co.uk/2006/01/26/hd201_1.jpg And Sennheiser CX300 http://www.discountdiscs.co.uk/Merch.../cx300-blk.jpg |

I've actually been wanting a pair of decent headphones for a while. I have some skullcandy earbuds but nothing for good listening at home. |
i use my overears even when out in public...i look like a weirdo with giant phones on my ears and i can't hear a damn thing that is going on around me...but i can't help it i need good quality anywhere i go.

I haven't done that since that pair broke and I got the Sennheisers though, I just don't wanna risk it. The Bose in-ears are really nice, and being able to hear what's going on around you has it benefits sometimes too I suppose. |

I have some cheap ass JVC's from HMV, I love them.
|
I use the StudioBeats by Dre. I've had them for a couple of months. They aren't as great as my Bose.
|
After going through about 1o pairs of headphones in 2009(4 of them being iPod ones and one SkullCandy) I've finally found a pair that I've been okay with. Blue JVCs. They're amazing, and don't seem likely to break either.
|
A more appropriate forum although there is a similar thread around the place. I use the same Sennheisers HD 201 as Zero1986 and although a little bassy and quiet, they have a really warm sound to them that is perfect for when the missus is watching endless soaps and you want to ignore them.
|
scratch that...this thread inspired me to upgrade. in 2-5 business days i will be the proud owner of some hd 280 pros. i'm pretty excited.
|
My flatmates bought me these beauties for my bday. The fact that the cord is so long gives me some incentive to clean my room since I can circumnavigate it while listening to music and still be plugged in at the end of it. And I like that the cord isn't hard wired to the cans but rather, plugs into them... if it weren't for that, I would have botched them long ago after trampling on a tangled cord.
|
sony mdr-xd100's
not too shabby, a little lacking in bass though; i'm looking for a different pair. |
I was given Direct Sound EX-29 Extreme Isolation noise reduction headphones for a holiday gift Direct Sound EX-29 Extreme Isolation Headphones – Noise reduction headphones « QuietHeadphones.com
I like the EX-29s because the ear pads are big enough to cover my ears without crushing them, unlike my previous despised Vic Firth sound reduction headphones. |

Now I've got omse 30 dollar sony buds. I have Bose ones for around the house that aren't buds. Quote:

I've just bought myself a pair of Koss Portapro's, I know I know, they're Koss but for all their shortcomings and general shoddyness, the Portapro's are excellent value for money.
That and they look cool. |

I got 2 pairs of headphones I use mostly to listen to music while surfing the web.
I mostly use these.... Basic Triport Headphones https://www.belmonttv.com/mm5/graphi...headphones.jpg When I can remember to charge the battery.... I use Quiet Comfort 3s http://tech2.in.com/media/images/200...6846_main2.jpg For MP3 Players I use Bose Earbuds http://dvice.com/pics/Bose-in-ear_headphones.jpg My bad I just randomly grab images off the web and didnt resize. |
Beyerdynamic DT-990 is just awesome.
I have a set of Philips SHP2000 (10 euro's) which are incredible value for money. I used to use these with my laptop and on the road, until I found a Sennheiser HD435 Manhattan that's a bit better. I've never been a fan of sennheiser. They sound pushy, hollow and bassy to me, but this one is very relaxed and rather neutral actually. Can't beat the DT-990 in any way though. |
Nothing fancy, Sony MDR-V150's

These sony's actually don't sound all that bad :).
|
Sony 'fashion' earbuds that were on sale for $5 at Kmart.
I jam econo. :| I have to get a new pair every three months anyways, I consistently break them. |
lol, I've had the same pair of dollar store earbuds that I use for my MP3 player for at least 6 months, they still do the trick
econo is the way to go |

Sennheiser eh 150's. They're a pretty good mid-range product as far as the quality to price ratio goes. They provide decent bass, they're sturdy, and comfortable. No complaints so far. |

I listen to music on headphones almost always because you can hear sounds you wouldn't get to hear from a pair of speakers. I have had many pairs of headphones from Sony studio monitor style, to Aiwa ear buds, but my latest pair of Stanton DJ pro60's are easily the best sounding pair I have ever heard! Great frequency response and I love that Stanton only deals with audio, so the quality is much better.
|
Some old school sennies HD414, the ones with the bright yellow pads
|

Anyone have these? Are they any good? Thinking of putting them on my Christmas List. |

But I must admit an affordable Headphone can sound really good compared to affordable speakers. But there's no way my headphone beats any of my two 'serious' sets of speakers. (and I haven't got an affordable headphone. I mean, it cost me $1,50 at a thrift store, but that was just crazy luck ;)). Quote:
Their phono cartridges are actually pretty awful (especially the Celebrated Stanton 500, brrrr!) |

These are what I use most the time. They technically aren't mine, just sort of on permanent loan to me. http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/image...s_inthebox.jpg |
[QUOTE=s_k;963990]Sorry man, that's just not true ;).
