I've been rocking AKG Q701s since 2014. Only have to replace the cable once in a while. The most amazing cans I've ever had. Incredibly comfortable.

Believe it (good suggestion) but I wanted wireless. Went with the Sony. With the warranty I try not think about the price.

I come from a pair of Sennheiser HD 380 Pro from 2009. They lasted a long time but eventually last year I had (and wanted to) replaced them.

So I've followed the internet hype, like a real pro, and got myself a pair of ATH-M50X, which I'm not liking at all. Uncomfortable, I have to rebalance its sound via EQ, very weird non-natural response overall.

The final straw was that I finally invested (again) in a turntable which for now I can mostly only listen with headphones, paired it with a Magni Heresy ampli and now I hate the AT headphones even more.

I'm actually waiting for a pair of Beyerdynamics DT-770 (80 Ω) to be dispatched next week.

Fingers crossed.

BTW I've just discovered this community and decided to join the family. Nice to meet you all.

You have to be at least 13-years-old to join this forum and I do not understand how your unconventional parentage even works.

I'm sticking with my HD600s for the forseeable future. The cool thing about these nice headphones is how well they retain their value. I could sell these and lose maybe 50-0 dollars after 8 years of use. They do need a new cable and pads every once in a while though.

I absolutely live by the Sennheiser 380Pros. I've replaced the ear pads on them at least four times and have purchased and tested headphones at three times their price point, but have always returned to the 380Pros.

Their sound signature is natural but dynamic and they are so incredibly comfortable to wear for hours at a time. They're hands-down the best closed-back circumaural model on the market.

Glad to see more love for them in the group!

Yes they were awesome. I changed the pads once as well but they were already in need of replacement when I stopped using them. Honestly I had to replace the 380pro only because I could here some weird distortion in some (low) frequencies, I guess they were cooked. Nonetheless fantastic headphones.

Although I'm absolutely LOVING my new DT 770 Pro 80ohms right now.

The good news is that I'm getting a brand new set of headphones, unfortunately as of right now I know nothing about them, not even what brand they are. Hopefully they'll be superior to my little $20 headphones I've been using, I'll keep you posted.

Well I just unpacked my new Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones and am charging them up, I can't make heads or tails of the instructions, I'm hoping my brother can help me...
