Question Titles & Tracks

Greetings Everyone, My family likes to get together every Christmas and make music. I write songs and my family puts the music to it. We are no means professional, nor do we try to be. Its just a family thing. But we do like to record our music. The thing is, when we record on a player, and I download into my PC, I go and Name the Artist and Song Title. But when I burn a CD using Nero 6.6.1.15, the CD shows unknown artist and simply track 1,2.3. ect. How can I get Nero to write the Artist name such as "odds10to1" and Title the song such as "I'm A Mis-Fit", instead of unknown artist track 4?
Or do I need a better burning program? if so, may I please have a suggestion? Thank You.

Are you naming the music file itself or are you putting the name in the Nero program?

You should really be tagging the music files before you burn them. This can be done in any decent music library software, and iTunes.

Yes. With most music players and software you will be able to put the title information onto the CD with the music.

Thank You Freebase Dali, that may be where were messing up. When we sing and play through the mics to the recorder, and bounce everything together, we, don't name the final track. Then when I hook up the recorder to my PC and download the final track, that may be where were missing it. Thank You very very much.

Thank You Akira, why should I tag my music files? I am not trying to sell them or they are not open to the public as of now.

Thank You Burning Down, I tried to type in the information in Nero, but it still will not name the track or Artist. I have tried to name the track & Artist before I export to Nero also, but Nero will not use the information. I guess I'll have to name the track and Artist just as 'Freebase Dali' has suggested. At the point of recording.
