Default Any Help with Why Cubase Crashes On Me?

Usually, anytime I record (it's Cubase LE 4) with a microphone...either singing or with an instrument mic recording an amp, cubase will almost always crash after the audio has been recorded.
When I save it it says, "The file has been saved under a new name because the current file is corrupt".

In the worst cases, it crashes while I'm in the middle of recording and won't give me a chance to save it and I lose everything if I haven't saved previously.

Keep in mind this only happens when using a microphone......

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Are there any updates you can try to download for Cubase?
I use Sonar, so I can't tell you much about Cubase... but if it's a program bug, then usually updating the program fixes things up.
